Metrological centre for calibration and verification of flow meters and heat meters Company ELIS PLZEN a. s. owns four Test rigs for calibration of flow meters, two stands for calibration of calorimetric counters and one stand for calibration of temperature sensors. The autorized metrological centre K39 is located in the manufacturing premises of the company ELIS PLZEN a. s.

The available equipment and high qualification of the staff make the centre fully competent not only to meet the company`s requirements, but also to provide metrological services to external organisations. Among the available services are calibration and verification of all types of calorimetric counters used for heat-content measurement in both water and steam; in four flow-meter test rooms it is possible to calibrate and verify the parameters of all types of flow meters.

During the tests, the flow meters including mechanical water meters, ultrasonic, induction and vortex flow meters are hydraulically and electrically connected to the test equipment using drinking water as the test fluid. If is possible to calibrate or verificate temperature sensors for heat meters in water. Metrological center provides calibaration and verification of small compact heat meters in water from different producers.

The test room equipment makes possible not only standard installation of the flow meters under test, but also simulation of various model and development configurations of the hosting hydraulic system including simulation of hydraulic disturbances, emulation of flow-stabilising straight piping sections of various length at the flow meter input and output and others.

ELIS PLZEN a. s. may also arrange for its customers tests and verification of all components of the heat-content measuring systems, such as pressure and pressure difference sensors. These services are provided by the AMS K39 metrological centre.
